I’M VERY GRATEFUL TO MY FAMILY FOR ALL OF THEIR HELP

           My family wanted me to improve my situation in society and would give me a lot of advice. They pushed me to leave Thailand and to improve my opportunities. When I came to Washington DC it was the first time I had been away from home and family. I felt very homesick and really missed Thai food and my family. My family was very worried that it was not safe and that it may be dangerous for me to be on my own. They were always very concerned about my academic success and wanted to make sure that nothing got in my way while i pursued my goals in the US. I used to be a very silent child and kept to myself. Now that I am in Gallaudet I have many friends to love and take care of me and to be like my family here. I miss and love my family but my friends here have helped me cope. I look forward to making more friends and improving my skills here at Gallaudet.

      Yesterday P’woo takes Chanita to go to the Korean restaurant “Yechon Korean Japanese Restaurant.” It is well known and was very delicious. I very rarely eat korean food but I really liked it. I had the Barbeque Pork with Rice. The most common type of Korean BBQ pork is a spicy dish called bulgogi. There is also beef bulgogi, but it has different marinades. The marinade for pork bulgogi is usually some kind of chili power or spice, garlic, seasame oil and pear juice. Boneless pork is the best choice for bulgogi and is usually cooked in a skillet.

This week was International Awareness week. I enjoyed many activities throughout the week. There was a guest speaker, dancing, international food, traditional fashion show, parade or flags by the foreign students. I loved tasting all the different international food. I like to learn ASL and I look at seek help from teachers and staff members of ELI. The entire week I enjoyed participating in the display of culture by Gallaudet students for the Americans. I was so impressed that they participated and knew the ELI students. Next year, I think we should have classes to study different ASL and English. I also would like to learn more and do the best I can at Gallaudet.

Spring break trips to NY

     This is the first time we have planned a spring break trip to NY with my friends. We went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We went sight seeing around the buildings near the water and it was very beautiful but also cold. It was very impressing and we were very excited to see it. WE walked to see the museum on the history of the Statue of Liberty and we took a photo of Blowing Green, and the Empire State Building. We had lunch and dinner. After that we walked around, when shopping, dancing, and to went to many international restaurants the three days we were in NYC. After all that we felt very tired, our bodies hurt and we were ready to come back to Washington DC. We had a great time on our spring break trip in NYC.

TOKYO TRIP      

        Next year, We’re going to plan to travel to Japan. My dream holiday is to go to Japan for a week. We’ll need to see Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Sky tree, Mount Fuij and temple is a very famous city in the world. There are a lot of museums and palaces there. The most famous is Tokyo Tower which is a tourist destination that houses several different attractions and inspiring in Tokyo Tower’s lighting is very beautiful and romantic.

        We need to bring ELI students to trip around in Tokyo, they’ll pack the clothes, personal thing and take something along themselves too. There’re many magnificent hotels but it’s very expensive.They’ll be able to take a photo and drawing it happily and excitedly in the place.

        It’s going to bring money five thousand dollars to fly and eat Japan food is delicious. We like to see a beautiful place like a dream in the first time it’s good luck and has a fun for their trip.
